An effective solution for wastewater treatment plants, pumping stations, and rainwater and river water retention facilities for irrigation systems.

The Archimedes screw, with its helical gravimetric shape, is used to lift fluids, typically sewage, rainwater or sludge. Its main components are the drive assembly, screw, and lower bearing assembly.

Safety

All equipment components are designed with high safety factors to ensure a long service life.

Technical data

Drive assembly

It comprises a geared motor with either direct drive or pulley drive, an elastic coupling between the gearbox output shaft and the screw, a backstop system to prevent counter-rotation when the unit is stopped, and an upper bearing to support both axial and radial loads.

Screw

A welded steel structure consisting of a central pipe as the main body of the screw, with helices featuring one, two, or three inlets and a pitch tailored to meet the geometrical and flow requirements.  Flanges are welded to the ends of the pipe, where the upper and lower shafts are fixed.

Lower bearing assembly

It consists of the lower bracket fixed to the civil works and the lower bearing. Environmentally friendly and lubricated for life, this bearing does not require periodic external lubrication.
