Structure
The gate is characterised by a curved shape, with a square or rectangular cross-section, which allows the hydraulic force to be transmitted efficiently. Rubber sealing gaskets are integrated into the electro-welded structure to seal against the metal profiles installed in the civil works.
Effectiveness
In Tainter radial penstocks, the sealing can be located on four or three sides, depending on whether or not the water level exceeds the height of the gate. The rotating arm structure efficiently transmits hydraulic force radially to the pivoting plates installed in the civil works.

The design of the radial penstock and its drive system are adapted to the specific needs of each project, taking into account the dimensions of the hydraulic structure and the volume of water to be regulated.
