Design, manufacture and packaging of electromechanical equipment for the commissioning of the new El Bayadh WWTP in Algeria
El Bayadh, a municipality of 100,000 inhabitants, is located in western Algeria. It sits at an altitude of 1,313 meters above sea level in the heart of the Atlas Mountains. The new wastewater treatment plant (WWTP) is a project promoted and financed by the Office National de l’Assainissement (ONA) of Algeria.
Coutex Sorigué is responsible for the design and manufacture of equipment for the new installation, including penstocks, grates, bridges, surface aerators, sand classifiers, screw compactors and grease separators. For approval and dispatch, a delegation of ONA members travels to Barcelona to conduct a preliminary inspection.
